All Things Mundane, Arcane...um..CandyCane?!

It's been helluva long time since the last blog.. So this is wot it's like... You write a bit..then you become dilligent for a time, then off you go, back to your constant doses of lethargy..

No wonder keeping diaries and all that stuff sink well with most women.. They're just too particularly attached to something like that..

Things are not as exciting as they are. This so-called "Life" we are meant to enlive with such gusto and pizzazz simply lacks the aforementioned. It's just waaaay too sloth-y for my usual tastes, this 2006 scene.

I'ma heading off to some distant land or some recluse (really? I didn't know that place was recluse basing from wot I heard as of late..) place this Holy Week. I don't really approve of this trip and stuff but I do need a change of scenery.

The drab draught in the air is just too stifling.

I'm glad though I'm getting a bit into touchbase with my photography again. It's been a while. Now that i found out I can still do photography and having done a series of portrait shoot assignments one too close after the other, I'm beginning to view it as something like a nonsensical challenge already. LOL!

I'm gonna be busy..(or so I think I will), and actually start the bopking and company process rollings for the talents.

Maybe that'll take on a manifold task of reducing idle time away.

Hmm..developments developments..

There IS one.

one that's not worthy to note??

no. it's worthy--kinda?

um..i insist, maybe it's not.

okay. then it's not.

on second thought, maybe it COULD potentially be worthy to note.

wot's the diff? worthy or irrelevant, they'd fall under the blog-scrutiny-options.

okay. best leave it hanging.

wotever.

WEEK's RECAP... (LOL! I hope this does not lead to a HABITUAL form)

March 4, 2006
Saturday

Went to Guam Bar...got home earlier this time. Brought the cost estimates for the bar and the hotel renovation and presented them to Yamamoto..who knows whether he'll like it or not. Point, is.. as wot BW says..we need to "WORK" Yamamoto from all angles... *scary*

March 5, 2006
Sunday

It was Manang's birthday. Went to Chinatown, brought them there to eat lunch. Then the weirdest thing of all things I can ever think of going I just went this day--THE MANILA ZOO.

I know..I know. Pathetic as that sounded. It didn't when I got to be around a different assotment of REAL ANIMALS (those i'm around at work or my clients are domesticated animals) after a while.

I liked seeing them..don't know why. I really am a frustrated veterinarian at heart. Another illegal thing I did (as useless) was to feed the creatures when no one was looking.. I made a mad grab at the ornamental plants that I think are edible and not the foxglove and poinsettia varieties (poisonous saps they possess) and fed them to the ostriches, the deers, the ape, the zebra, the peacock (well i gave the peacocks bread..) They ate them instantly...must be because they tasted "new" to them.

After that I went home and told Manang to go shopping or something as it was her birthday--gave her an added birthday gift for her to use as shopping resource. :)

Left alone at the house, I got an unexpected visit. It's from an installment of the Twin Brothers--Hekyl and Jekyl. Hekyl came by and rummaged through my ancient books (actually more like Dad's collection of ancient chinese prophecies). He was particularly interested of a prophecy book that foretold life for a certain individual based on one's time of birth and date.. From those data gathered, the book will spin your entire lifetime and tell you wot's gonna happen when you're in your midlife and wot happens after that. It likewise gives you a very accurate picture of wot kind of a person are you. Most of the things he said bout me I already heard from someone who prophesied me years ago..but it's refreshing to be reminded when one's gonna die... LOL!

After that, I slept.. yup...close to 10pm :) *cheers to me*

March 6, 2006
Monday

Checked on the car..apparently, the dents have all been removed. it was now time to haul it over to be given a whole body repainting job. Hope they don't bungle that up.. *rolleyes*

BW came over around 9pm and finished painting Mom's booth facade project. We snuck out for a quick dinner (it was BW's third or fourth dinner that day, and my first meal of the day) We went to Aristocrat and had a riceless 4-viand course. BW has met a new person over the net waves. Funny thing that new guy, by the sound of their convo, was really, literally, moving-in for the catch (that was BW)... he must've said profuse 143's when they haven't even seen one another..in person that is :p Yeah, Einstein said the world would come to something as closely empathetic as this :D

Tuesday

Today i woke up early. Early because I got early calls from Saudi Arabia. Someone as keen on getting the farmlot I was selling. Sounds promising. The thing that got my attention was that there was another one who called, but this one's from a San Miguel poultry contractor who were looking for a bigger property to transfer. I guess it was FARM-INQUIRY day which is a good way to start the day--preoccupation.

GOT a go-see proposal from BW. It was for Saturday. Not bad, worth a shot right. Not really. Problem is getting models in tow for the go-see. Most of them have unreachable mobiles or are either busy with other projects on Saturday. The mad rush for available talents was the order of the rest of the afternoon for me.

I'm scheduling the setcard photography of the models as the days go by. I'm starting off with Fencer and Fencer's talents. Slept at 2am today. Why 2am? Oh got hooked on brushing up and re-educating myself about my cameras :) I tinkered and cleaned them off the racks. Been like years since I held one in my arms (manual that is)

March 8, 2006
Wednesday

Today was client day. Off to The Light Company to check on that booth requirement for the Ace Hardware relaunch. Boring discussion. Boring because they were tied to a budget--a budget of seemingly impossible proportions. Impossible because it's so puny one would think whether a cardboard booth would suffice *rolleyes*

After the Light Company, the networking lan guy arrived. Weird emaciated guy didn't look like he can fix anything. More likely, he could've been hellspawn for all i know. So he managed to remove some spywares (temporarily..they were up again after he left...lol) then he managed to revive my linksys hub..which was a useless gesture seeing the purportedly four-pc hub, can still just link the pc's together but not the internet...hmm...this is wot i'm doing hours after he left, repatching and restructuring the network thing he did, maybe i can a way around the maze that Destiny did to lock the system to just ONE pc. I know I can find the hole in the setup somewhere..i'm like this close... *motions point finger and thumb to a measly thickness size gesture* well apparently that close to giving up...lol! Well it's almost 3am and i'm still up...at least the net's working...for one pc that is.. later on if i remind myself, i'll prolly buy 2 20"+ monitors to replace these ones I have. ANother one conked out again, making it to the record of 6 units of 20"-21" monitors that conked themselves out in 3 years...

Oh that reminds me, later i'ma gonna have to shop for some nice piece of hardwood.. BW says they're like easy to procure..i hope i find them within the day.. also to submit the drawing to the Light company and of course to resubmit the cost estimates to Yamashita tomorrow evening.

BTW...i think i'm going to Bora this April. then July. then October. Never been to BORA before, I used to hate the thought of being in BORA seeing how commercial it was, and being one who isn't a fan of hyped-up tourist places, I always chose to pass-up offers from friends before. But this time it's different. I'm going there for a shoot, a file shoot of sorts and a getaway. BW's planning to go too and so goes for 18 other hopeful people who will join the so-called interisland tour. If that goes well, Cebu Pacific will prolly have it's noisiest/boisterous-iest flight in history.

In Spirit and In Dreams

I was intoxixated (again) last night.

I was over at Guam Bar with BW.

I got a funny tissue paper tear-off handed to me by a waiter.

It was from this young girl (she did look a bit young) but nothing fancy. I've seen her a long time there at that bar with her effem friends getting drunk on most occasions. It was her number, she said she'd like to hook up with me because "I like you a lot"

Earlier I sang a couple of songs inside the bar, mostly out of drunken stupor. I can hear some people say "I Love You" and some other sh#$%^. Apparently, she was one of those enamored by the spirits of her drink and at the same time prolly by the lull of the song.

I told her I'ma gonna give her a call one of these days as my phone had drained itself off. She acquiesed. She particularly swooned.

Hmm she was swooning and reeking of juvenile drives.

We got home around 4am, after I made measurements of the restrooms that's to be renovated.

Then something weird happened.

It has never happened in a while--I dreamt.

The dream made me a bit bewildered. At first that is. It was about Royal. I think the fuzziness of the dream all contributed to the thoughts that it could be real or not. The events made them like a collective deja-vu's. When I woke up, I thought it was February first week, and that things are still cool.

Apparently, the wake-up call prompted me to propel back to March first week. Status quo. That's cool as well.

Of Things Awry and Wry

F#$%^&!

The thing I don't quite appreciate about being your own company's liaisons cum PR man is the schedulings.

Today the seminary store I was supposed to go to got sidetracked. There was another client and another call that moved theirs. ALL AT THE SAME TIME they decided to move it to.

I mount an introductory protest.

But..I think we'll have a prob...

Client: I'm really sorry bout the short notice, I'm leaving for Singapore this afternoon, hardly any other time to fit the sked.."

Bummer.

So wot I did decide in doing, is to move all the other agenda to a much latter time of the day--much latter is an understatement: after office hours is how it's read.

SO today, I have to go to Banawe first to burn time, needed to scout for a new bumper and a chassis railing.

around 2pm i'm headed off to Glorietta--after a meet..i'd go arcading to burn the time away for my next meeting at 4pm which is at Robinsons Place.

6pm would be with BW to whereever I think he's planning to go that he said he'd like me to join him in.

8pm is prolly my time to entertain some pesky Political Party members' insistence to have me over at a yahoo group discussion.

Midnight today will prolly be meted for me to update my blog sites, everything's so far so good but then again, one can never be too perfect and sure nowadays. I'm like always looking for things around my sites to fix, to arrange, rearrrange..

I did BW's site this morning as a surprise. Took me like an hour and a half. I hope it's okay with him, colors and everything. :)

I'm gonna design the Guam Bar restroom later in the evening when everything's quieted up. it's the usual time I can let creativity flow freely--the dawn moments.

Busy-NESS Is Good For Business

Today, BW and I went to Yamamoto's Hotel. There were stuff there that needed to be fixed. Dilapidated ceilings, doors, floorworks. Then there were tiling works, some door repaintings, and well a major entire floor wall-to-ceiling repainting.

Not that it means anything. Well okay, it means I get to be busy (again). On a side note, he mentioned that the Guam Bar needed some more repairs. This is what actually interested me.

For one, he mentioned the restroom needed some works.
To be translated coming from me as: I have a Pet Peeve Against THAT restoom!

When he mentioned it, it's as if my eyes lit up. (hopefully not that obvious) I suggested the works, I wanted there to be a basin first,(I so hate being in that bar's restroom and finding no sink of sorts) next I wanted the urinals changed a bit. He then suggested more like re-tiling of the floors and changing the ceiling into mirrors.

MIRRORS?!

Who in his right state of mind would make a restroom's ceiling into a mirrorised design??

Oh..oh yeah... but of course.. silly me. DOH..mirrors of course warms up to a certain clientele group's "preferential" requirements..

I however, didn't buy the idea too much, not due to it's impracticalities, but well never mind the sleazy overtones..

The best I offered as a suggestion was to convert them to architectural mirrors instead, something more subtle and well, a bit classy looking.

Yamamoto agreed instantly--architectural mirrors (hued) would indeed create a drama.

Trick is the lavatories.

Since I offered to convert them to stainless, it must be a design that is original and can't be seen anywhere. It involves the use of a sink too.

Yeah..A SINK--converted and refurbished to become LAVATORIES. A challenge, but one that I truly relish in my years of point-of-purchase merchandising material designs for our clients.

Next up would be the lightings and the ceiling works for the bar establishment. They can come in later. I'm just more inclined and focused to do the restrooms for both male and female.

BW and I had dinner over at TGIF en route. It took us a long time to leave TGIF because I was perpetually glued on to the tube, watching 2 movies.. one was Torque, then some NBA, then the other movie was Sky High. Not that i haven't watched these movies yet, but it's always the case whenever I see stuff onscreen--instant focus.

We met a Canadian porn scout (his card did read as: adult film director) and he was looking for the well tanned Filipina beauties all over the country. Well, nice as his intentions were, I found it a bit in the proper sense to keep a good distance from this guy lest we be associated with the next series of internet porn raid of sorts in the near future.

I went home and finished this blog layout, did a bit of talking with the school organizations i'm directly involved in, then got an sms from BW that he's off to a Karaoke bar.

Sad.

BW has been wrestling with his inner emotions and sanity over their seemingly on-off or rather teetering relationship (is there any by the way, is the better question) with S. He's like hurting and in anguish all the time yet he doesn't want to let go. Must be incruciating to be him.

I only wish he'll be safe when he goes on his let's-paint-the-town-red nights alone.

Me? I'ma gonna sleep this off, it's now like 3am. Later on around 8am, i'm heading off to my former Seminary Order's vocational store. The Order has been receiving much adulation and praise from the Vatican for the outreach project that trains the lower-income and/or jobless but able men to make good quality furniture. I was summoned (much to my surprise because it has been a long time since my Order days) to help them make a design for the outlet's facade signage.

well indeed..Busy-ness Rules! Anytime at that.

Things Ahead

I went to the arcade after the Hotel stint.

I ended up winning weirdly, i brought home a pooh, a piglet, an eeyore, and 4 dinosaurs. LOL.. It was one of these rare moments that I go thanking my intuition why I brought my Nike backpack.

When I arrived home, I was settling down when I heard my phone ringing close to midnight.

BW..

He was at the Guam Bar.. weirdly, he was with Usher, another chatmate, and yet another Guam-met guy named Hoho Japan. Yamamoto was there as well, saying they were looking for me.

I went and arrived close to 1am. Upon arriving, only BW was there..the others apparently left in great haste.. (or in great pangs of bodily "needs")

We talked about a whole lot of things, we drank, and there were revelations regarding Yamamoto's life. It was a very enticing conversation, one which led me to view the whole picture as a floodgate of opportunities and possible tie-ups for works indeed.

Yamamoto is a very fair and decent man. He has proved to be a very potent ally if he likes you, and he's going to be all political and ha-ha with you if he doesn't like you.

Both BW and myself saw the importance this guy could potentially become in our lives.

We silently agreed.

We're meeting Yamamoto at 4:30pm--for a hotel project.

It's cool to be busy as I go ranting every now and then--THIS is the perfect getaway moment.

I postponed going to the farm today. I'll head off prolly Thursday. It's just Tuesday anyways. Procrastination..Procrastinations... *rolleyes*

I'm having the car fixed today, and the repainting, and the body works, and the bumpers changed, and the hood tinkered with. Major works yeah, one that was long overdue.

Wonder if they can whip the car up in shape before Friday. Or Saturday even.

Awakenings

I'm in full control.

Lately even Life deals its harshest hand, making it seem like the cards I have are always at a notch behind, I'm not particularly that bothered.

Things are slow.

Every night for me seems to be a recount of wot I was while I was in College.

It was simply getting back the habit of drinking that I'm worried about. It's the people that I've had to meet along the way that makes everything seem odd to me.

Not that I don't want to meet new people.

it's just that majority of them currently are shysters--or TRULY odd.

This is Ruby.
Met her off at a bar one time I was on my solo explorations. She works as a dancer (no she doesn't do nude) she just dances with a group, hip-hop style. When I arrived, the girls thought I was from some other Asian country, which made them all swarm in saying a young Japanese is within the area..

They flocked but I told them politely I'd like to sit with that girl in particular--pointing to Ruby.

Ruby's a nice lass. Quite wise beyond her years--wise I guess due to the fact that she knows how to pace her Lady's Drinking rounds that cost something like PhP310 a shot.

After hours, i guess by 4am, I left the bar--with Ruby.

I was drunk silly.

She wasn't.

I made clumsy moves.

She was adept and was in full control.

And the dawn just kept itself at bay till I got home around 7am.
