Busy-NESS Is Good For Business

Today, BW and I went to Yamamoto's Hotel. There were stuff there that needed to be fixed. Dilapidated ceilings, doors, floorworks. Then there were tiling works, some door repaintings, and well a major entire floor wall-to-ceiling repainting.

Not that it means anything. Well okay, it means I get to be busy (again). On a side note, he mentioned that the Guam Bar needed some more repairs. This is what actually interested me.

For one, he mentioned the restroom needed some works.
To be translated coming from me as: I have a Pet Peeve Against THAT restoom!

When he mentioned it, it's as if my eyes lit up. (hopefully not that obvious) I suggested the works, I wanted there to be a basin first,(I so hate being in that bar's restroom and finding no sink of sorts) next I wanted the urinals changed a bit. He then suggested more like re-tiling of the floors and changing the ceiling into mirrors.

MIRRORS?!

Who in his right state of mind would make a restroom's ceiling into a mirrorised design??

Oh..oh yeah... but of course.. silly me. DOH..mirrors of course warms up to a certain clientele group's "preferential" requirements..

I however, didn't buy the idea too much, not due to it's impracticalities, but well never mind the sleazy overtones..

The best I offered as a suggestion was to convert them to architectural mirrors instead, something more subtle and well, a bit classy looking.

Yamamoto agreed instantly--architectural mirrors (hued) would indeed create a drama.

Trick is the lavatories.

Since I offered to convert them to stainless, it must be a design that is original and can't be seen anywhere. It involves the use of a sink too.

Yeah..A SINK--converted and refurbished to become LAVATORIES. A challenge, but one that I truly relish in my years of point-of-purchase merchandising material designs for our clients.

Next up would be the lightings and the ceiling works for the bar establishment. They can come in later. I'm just more inclined and focused to do the restrooms for both male and female.

BW and I had dinner over at TGIF en route. It took us a long time to leave TGIF because I was perpetually glued on to the tube, watching 2 movies.. one was Torque, then some NBA, then the other movie was Sky High. Not that i haven't watched these movies yet, but it's always the case whenever I see stuff onscreen--instant focus.

We met a Canadian porn scout (his card did read as: adult film director) and he was looking for the well tanned Filipina beauties all over the country. Well, nice as his intentions were, I found it a bit in the proper sense to keep a good distance from this guy lest we be associated with the next series of internet porn raid of sorts in the near future.

I went home and finished this blog layout, did a bit of talking with the school organizations i'm directly involved in, then got an sms from BW that he's off to a Karaoke bar.

Sad.

BW has been wrestling with his inner emotions and sanity over their seemingly on-off or rather teetering relationship (is there any by the way, is the better question) with S. He's like hurting and in anguish all the time yet he doesn't want to let go. Must be incruciating to be him.

I only wish he'll be safe when he goes on his let's-paint-the-town-red nights alone.

Me? I'ma gonna sleep this off, it's now like 3am. Later on around 8am, i'm heading off to my former Seminary Order's vocational store. The Order has been receiving much adulation and praise from the Vatican for the outreach project that trains the lower-income and/or jobless but able men to make good quality furniture. I was summoned (much to my surprise because it has been a long time since my Order days) to help them make a design for the outlet's facade signage.

well indeed..Busy-ness Rules! Anytime at that.
